A granthi (priest) and a woman were killed after their bike was hit by a truck on Friday. The deceased granthi has been identified as Raghubir Singh (70), a resident of Gobindgarh Gamri near Nadana, while the identification of the woman is yet to be established, said Diwan Singh, SHO, Taraori.
As per information, the granthi was on the way to Taraori. On the road a woman asked for a lift. As they headed further, a truck hit the vehicle and both died in the accident. A case has been registered against the truck driver for negligent driving, the SHO said.
