A team of the Anti-Corruption Branch, Delhi, raided the house of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s deceased brother-in-law Surender Kumar Bansal in connection with the alleged Rs 10- crore Public Works Department (PWD) scam.

The raids were conducted last evening at three places, including house of Bansal and two offices of promoters who were under the agency’s radar. Some documents were seized during the raids, said an official.

In the matter, the investigative agency has registered three FIRs on May 9 against Bansal and senior PWD officers on the basis of a complaint filed by Rahul Sharma, a convener of NGO Road Anti-Corruption Organisation. The FIRs do not mention Kejriwal's name.

In his complaint, Sharma has accused the Chief Minister of helping Bansal to get forged bills of around Rs 10 crore cleared in a contract of construction of road and drainage lines.
