Corbett Park’s Bijrani zone reopens

DEHRADUN:Bijrani Zone, a famous tourist spot in Jim Corbett National Park, was opened for visitors after the monsoon break yesterday.

Bijrani Zone, a famous tourist spot in Jim Corbett National Park, was opened for visitors after the monsoon break yesterday. A total of 27 tourist gypsies ferrying 121 domestic and 20 foreign tourists entered the Bijrani zone. Some of the tourists even managed to sight tigers as soon as they entered the zone. Amit Verma, Deputy Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve, opened the Bijrani zone in a simple ceremony. The zone was closed for tourists due to monsoon on June 30. A large number of nature guides, gypsy owners and hotel owners earn their livelihood due to tourism in Corbett.
