CHAMBA: To keep constant surveillance on anti-social elements, the Himachal Pradesh Police havelaunched a joint patrolling with Jammu and Kashmir Police on the Chamba-Doda borders, a police communiqué said here on Monday.

To keep constant surveillance on anti-social elements, the Himachal Pradesh Police havelaunched a joint patrolling with Jammu and Kashmir Police on the Chamba-Doda borders, a police communiqué said here on Monday.

The communiqué said security personnel of the HP Police and J&K Police would carry out patrolling in close coordination with each other and keep an eye on strangers to maintain law and order on the borders enjoining both states.

The official fortnight Manimahesh pilgrimage is scheduled to commence on Janamashtami in September when devotees of Lord Shiva come from the Bhadarwah area of Doda district in(J&K) to take holy bath in the Manimahesh lake. — OC
