The school celebrated Republic Day on its premises with the theme ‘India - The Mother of Democracy’, under the guidance of Principal Charanpreet Kaur. Member-in-charge Dr Paramjit Singh and STP Singh, honorary secretary, School Management Committee, attended the function. The function started with the national flag unfurling ceremony by the members of the School Management Committee, followed by singing of the national anthem. A group song ‘Aisa desh hai mera’ was presented by the school choir. A speech on ‘Heritage and culture of India’ was presented, and it was followed by a mesmerising dance performance on patriotic songs by the Tiranga dance group. Dr Paramjit Singh congratulated the students and paid tributes to the freedom fighters and unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. He motivated the students to keep the country clean and safe. STP Singh congratulated the students and emphasised on ‘Each small step counts’. School Principal Charanpreet Kaur thanked all the dignitaries for attending the event.
